theme of this song. Old men marrying young women and thus making the
woman a widow at an early age, has been a theme of many social-critical

This song picturised on Super Star Rajesh Khanna and Zeenat Aman. While running away from their pursuers, they hop on a
freight train. The train is on the move and the two love birds sing on
the train, hopping from one haystack to other haystack which the train
is carrying.
The duet song is sung by Kishore Kumar and Lata Mangeshkar. Lyrics by Anand
Bakshi are quite romantic and sensuous. R D Burman, who created the best songs.

(4) EK AJNABI HASEENA SE YOON MULAAQAAT HO GAYI by Kishore Kumar.
One
of the most romantic songs from Ajnabee. Featuring Super Star Rajesh Khanna
and Zeenat Aman, this number tugged at your heartstrings, if you lived
through that era. The feelings and emotions involved when you are in
love with a girl is so wonderfully penned by Anand Bakshi, and so
wonderfully sung by Kishore Kumar on R D Burman’s tune. All the people
featuring in this song were the creme de la creme of Bollywood world in
their fields at that time. And their teamwork has resulted into this
evergreen, unforgettable, romantic song.
Super Star Rajesh Khanna was God those days, and his popularity was to be seen to
be believed. And Zeenat Aman serves as an ideal foil to him. There were some
other beautiful numbers in movies where both of them featured. And the
playback singing for Rajesh Khanna was given by Kishore Kumar in all
these movies.
There is some suggestion that Kishore Kumar’s voice was one of the
reasons for Super Star Rajesh Khanna attaining his superstardom. I fully endorse
this view. That, plus the wonderful music by R D Burman were two major
reasons.
The expressions of Super Star Rajesh Khanna and Zeenat Aman in this song are priceless. It is indeed a wonderful song in all respects.
